Been here three years now and this is the first time I have gotten a really good shot of the Spoon bill Sandpiper. Plenty of shots just not good ones.
The sky was cloudy and he came up on top of the bank to look around. I was set up about 10 meters from him. So a good opportunity, and GOOD light.
I took around 100 shots and all were pretty good. Here are two.
And my famous last words. Birding is FREE. Do not think you have to spend allot of money to bird. I spend very little and have a blast. And do not listen to the hype on professional birding guides pages. I have tried ONE guided tour. It was over priced and it just sucked. If I want to bird in another country. I just research it, and go allone. IT IS EASYier than you think and allot more fun. The adventure is getting there. And freedom to do your own thing. Just enjoy it and learn at your own pace.
