With the rain this year in Texas, the wildflowers are in bloom, and it is a beautiful drive from San Antonio Texas where I am from to Junction.
This park is not to be missed if you are a birder. It has four blinds that are kept in pristine condition. If a photographer and want to photograph these birds, it is as easy as showing up and sticking your lens out the window. And I am not kidding.
These are just a few birds I saw in the area. Most birds I do not get a good photo of and do not post.

Painted bunting (Passerina ciris)

Black-throated sparrow (Amphispiza bilinear)
500mm, F/5.6, 1/500, ISO 1600
Summer tanager (Piranga rubra) male

Summer tanager (Piranga rubra) female

And, as usual. Head over to my flickr site for MANY more pics in this area of Texas.
All the best and good birding, Gary
