It has been a great birding season in Thailand. I have really enjoyed it, and bagged a lot of good birds. As well as taking a lot of great photos. I am basically a birding photographer. I know nothing about the birds per say. Although this year I have been trying to learn the habits of the birds I photograph. To help me find them. Personally I never use a bird guide. Since a hobby for me. I enjoy finding them to photograph.
This year marked the third year of birding in Thailand. At this point I have been from the southern tip of Thailand to the northern point so many times I cannot count. Now I have to decide what to do this summer and what I want to do and where I want to go birding next year. Do I want to stay in Thailand? Or do I want to explore other areas?
At this point I am thinking of traveling to India for a few months to see if I like it. Allot of the birds there are here in Thailand, but they have more birds there and a much larger land mass.
At this point I am researching India and the birding hot spots. Hopefully India will give me a 10 year multiple entry tourist visa. That will give me the opportunity to return as many times as I want in a 10 year period.
I am a birder, that lives in Asia most of the year. My home is in San Antonio Texas.
