But with the new 500 II. The lens is so good with the 7D. The mark IV is a big let down for me. It cannot resolve enough detail when cropping. Where the 7D really takes advantage of the new optics. When I first shot a shot threw the new lens and the 7d. I thought I had a problem with my camera. It was just strange to see the files.
Compared with the old 500 IS. They were almost 3D looking, it was amazing. But the AF on the 7D is so poor with the new lenses, I changed to a Mark IV. Now my AF is much better to say the least. But when I shoot at any distance the detail is gone.
Not enough MP on the subject! I used to think this was a crock.. But it is most obvious on the new 500 II and the mark IV. A big step backward for resolving detail.
Not sure what Canon is waiting for. A high density sensor and good AF would put them light years ahead of the competition. But????? They just don't have a camera for these new optics. IMO.
I just don't get it?
