This is the best park in central Texas in my opinion for birding. There are four bird blinds that are kept very clean. All cleaning and feeding are done by the park hosts. This park is lucky to have a host that has been there for the last 8 years. And very interested in bird welfare. The food and upkeep are donated free.
There is a donation box in the blinds that I always put a few dollars in.
It is hotttt hot now. So birng cold water and some snacks. Junction is the closest town. About 5 miles away with a grocery store and a subway shop. So easy to take a break. From birding and the heat.
From here own I am going to leave with a line. Birding is FREE. It is enjoyable. My hobby is my hobby. I go out every day and enjoy it. If nothing more than just look.
Take a photo. How much fun to explore and try new things and fail? Or try and really like the results. It's just a great hobby. :)
For the rest of my photos on this trip head over to my flickr site. Many many more birds there. www.flickr.com/photos/avianphotos
